2008 N.W. Junior Masters
a tournament for the elite Jr. bowler
The format for this tournament is based on one of the favorite adult tournaments here in the Portland metropolitan area, The Portland Masters. Although the the length of the format has been abbreviated so as to make it possible to bowl all in one weekend the basic format is intact. The entire field bowls six games of qualifying on the first day. The field is then cut to the top 32 bowlers who are seeded in a 32 player double elimination match play bracket for the second day of competition. As the bracket proceeds the best players advance. This makes for some very exciting matches. Great experience, great fun, and maybe even some scholarship money. Due to the influx of youth tournaments in the month of June we have opted to try a July weekend. The 2008 N.W. Junior Masters is scheduled for July 12 and 13. Check the entry for all of the details.
