Inside Line Tips
practice, practice, practice!
For most of us this is a given. We don't get in some practice and first thing you know those spares seem to be a lot more difficult and then pretty soon the strikes are fewer and farther between too. It seems that time is often the major draw back to getting in enough practice. Since we can't create time it becomes more important that we make the best of the time that we have. To make the best of limited practice time it is important to structure practice sessions. One of the best ways to do this is to set some goals for the session. If you have been having trouble with a fundamental then isolate it and concentrate on just that one thing for a set period of time or a set number of shots. Chances are there are other things that you have noticed. Practice each one separately. Leave some time to put everything together (less thinking here). One session is rarely enough to cure what ails you so be sure to review corrections to reinforce them.
ONE LAST NOTE: Bowling with friends is fun and great if you just want to get some games in, but if you want to make the most of your practice sessions then practice by your self or with a coach that can help you.
