Milwaukie Junior Masters
The Milwaukie Junior Masters is our advanced program for the serious Junior Bowler. There is not an official age limit or skill level to participate. The qualifications for members of this program are the desire to excel and to learn new skills. Most of the members of this league are active tournament bowlers and bowl more than one league.
The format consists of three games the first two games are singles matches. The third game is a doubles match pairing the highest average bowler with the lowest average bowler as a team. The second highest average is paired with the second lowest average and so forth. Both the singles and the doubles matches are handicapped and matches are determined by a league type schedule.
Instructors try to prepare some information or lesson for the group every week. The topics covered range from fundamentals to psychological to advanced techniques. It is our goal to challenge these bowlers both with the format and with new concepts.
This group gets extended benefits that we think are key to the development of their skills. Some of the benefits are: 3 games or one half hour of practice every day (subject to lane availability) and paid entries into USBC YOUTH city and state tournaments, the Dave Husted Invitational Pro-Am, and the NW Junior Masters (held here in Milwaukie). Jr. Masters members also receive pro-shop discounts at Dave Husteds' Inside Line Pro-Shop.
We welcome serious Jr. Bowlers to apply. For more information contact Jeff Combs at Milwaukie Bowl. 503-654-7719 or use our e-mail page.
